When to start here
- You know what you want to build, but there is no coherent design behind it yet.
- You have an agent or an AI feature and no plan for how it should work with people.
- A project is underway but stalled, or lost its designer.
- Screens are being produced faster than decisions about how the product should behave.
- You want to see and test the idea before paying to build it.
The principle I work by
I design what's expensive to change later first — roles, permissions, workflow, the rules the product behaves by. Everything else is checked faster and cheaper in a prototype. McKinsey 2025 finds that redesigning the workflow itself has the largest impact on outcomes among AI-related practices.

What this pillar delivers
A design and a prototype your team can build from: a process with roles and checkpoints, interaction principles, key screens, and a working prototype ready for testing.

One design, three layers — tested in a prototype.
